I have been trying to install the winxp sp1a, but it keeps on trying to
install in C: by default, which does not have enough space, when my primary
drive is F: and my win xp is installed in F: . How do I change the drive in
which the service pack is being installed?

Any solutions?

No C is not the first primary system partition. Windows XP is installed in my
F drive.
C drive does not have any windows files. I can't increase the size of C and
anyway, the service pack must be installed in the drive in which windows xp
is installed in right? No way to make it install in F: ?

When your primary drive is F: with win xp, didn't the sp1a installed in F:
by
default?
