1. Insert the Windows XP CD-ROM, holding down the SHIFT key to prevent
AutoPlay.

2. Open a CMD prompt and type:

Expand <CD-ROM_Drive>:\i386\sndvol32.ex_
%windir%\system32\dllcache\sndvol32.exe
Expand <CD-ROM_Drive>:\i386\sndvol32.ex_ %windir%\system32\sndvol32.exe

Thanks Brian

Mike - My Volume Control Panel was removed when I thought I was deactivating
it some time ago. Now I need it for a midi to MP3 conversion app.

Brian Griffin has provided me the process.

Thanks for the response

This has also happen to me -

If you don't have the Windows XP CD-ROM, but you have backed up your files
to an external hard drive, you can also restore SNDVOL32.EXE. You should be
able to find it under C: WINDOWS, SYSTEM 32, SNDVOL32.exe
