Installation of software in windows XP machines in a domain.

How can i allow windows XP clients in my Windows 2000
doamin to install the software on their own machines.I
tried it with group policy it is not working out.
 
Add the user to the local adminstrators group on the XP machine.
 
No it is not working,for the clarification I want to
install the software as a domain user itself,not as a
local user.

Yes, I know. On the workstation, add the domain user to the local
administrators group. It is the only way to get it to work. Being a local
administrator is not the same as being a domainadministrator.
