I have just deleted my Beta 1 version of Antispyware and attempted to install
Defender with no luck. It shows as starting in download manager and
progresses to the accept terms screen and gives me the download option.
After that, it just hangs on a status screen with no progress. The process
shows as running but never gets anywhere. There are no messages. I am on
Windows NT. Any suggestions?

Are you really on NT? I'm afraid Windows Defender is not available for that
OS.

If, in fact, you are on Windows 2000 or XP or 2003, consider disabling your
antivirus for the duration of the install.
