In Paulo Martins had this to say:
My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:
How can I install Windows XP on an external disk ?
It seems that Windows recognize the external drive, but when I select
that particular disk (partition) it says that isn't possible to
install Windows XP there ...
Is there any way of overcome this ???
Not that anyone seems to have found so far. Mind you all sorts of people
have tried...
The only way I can think of it as possible would be to install *NIX of your
favorite flavor and then run VMware (or another program with virtual
machines of your choice) and install XP there on the disk that way. You
*can* install *NIX on an external disk. Doing this would be absolutely
insane, slow, and a waste of time... But that's the only way that I can
think of to do such.
