I have installed SP2 on my Windows XP Home Edition Laptop and now I want to
install the Recovery Console, but get the following error message.
"Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is
newer than the version on the CD."
My laptop shipped with SP1 and system specific recovery cd's not the generic
windows XP setup cd - In this case, I believe slipstreaming SP2 is not an
option - is this correct?
If not how do I install the recovery console? Is removing sp2 the only way,
or is there another option?
Thanks.
