When I try to install "kb822603-x86-ENU " update from Microsoft it tells me
the system cannot find the specified file. Any solution I need this update to
make my Microsoft Life cam to work

That update is meant for SP1 (obsolete) only. Install SP2 if not already
done.

WinXP SP1 has security gaps and therefore, that problem might be caused by
malware. If this is the case, reinstall Windows from scratch and install
the SP2 update right afterwards prior to going online.

Otherwise, a repair install *might* help:

After installing SP2, visit the Microsoft Update site in order to obtain
the latest (post SP2) security updates. Good luck.
