Install Printer on LAN

I have two Dell computers running XP Home Edition. I
attach to a cable ISP using a Linksys router hardwired. I
bought an Hp psc 2410ix photosmart all in one printer and
installed it. It runs fine on the system it is cabled to.
I have set it up as a shared printer on the system it is
cabled to. The other system will not recognize it as a
shared priter. I have tried everything including loading
the driver on the second pc. The setup was ok but the
driver icon did not show up under control panel printers?

Ernie,

Make sure File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks is enabled in the
properties of My Network Places.
