Install of XP can't recognize modem

This is what has happened. I have a windows 98 machine
that everything works on and I upgrade to Windows XP. When
I do this the system, once the new install completes,
can't see the modem. I have tried several different things
including trying to do a standard modem setup, and it
still doesn't see the modem. How can I fix this problem
and with the XP install what other issues can I expect?
Please advise.

What type of modem do you have? You need to download the drivers
