install issues

I am having problems installing programs. Windows installer fails as an
error message 1327 indicates an invalid drive m. How do I adjust windows
installer so that it reads my cdrom drives and lets me install programs into
particular folders?
 
Suggest changing the drive letter to something else. It can be done in
Disk management. For help press F1 and key in Disk Management.

I get a 1327 drive E error and there is no drive E.
