can you install IE7 on "top" of IE6 without loosing IE6? Would this create
problems?

If you are considering installing IE7 on a production machine, think again..
it is still a beta version..

It is suggested that you DON'T install IE7 Beta at all !

I have IE7. No, I cannot launch IE6. Uninstalling IE7 should give me
back IE6.

I am using IE7, Beta 2. I am very satisfied. Microsoft says that IE7
should be used by anyone that is a technology enthusiast. That
definition covers many of the people that use this news group.

Really???
I've installed and uninstalled IE7 twice; and IE6 was still
there!!! IE7 is in add/remove and IE6 worked fine both times.

What happens is that IE7 subsumes some of the IE6 code - I assumed that what
you meant was "could I install IE7 and still use IE6".....

Oh,
Oops, Sorry
I didn't think about running them side by side. Sorry,
Jeff
