Install Error - Unable to connect to Network Share

I'm trying to install WindowsDefender on a system after running Antivir
and Spybot. Both progs state that the system is clean.

After the Windows installer screen I get an error message when
"Computing space requirements". The error states:
"Could not access network location \\Server\Shared Docs\My Pictures" I
have the option to retry or cancel. Retry will keep showing me the
message, Cancel will stop the installation.

The computer has no mapped network drives and the My Pictures directory
for the User is accessible.

Any ideas?

Never mind, found the fix myself.

1) Regedit
2) Goto
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders
3) Change My Pictures to %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Pictures

No reboot required, works fine.

This is how I fixed it:

Used the "Windows Installer Cleanup Utility" and removed Windows Defender
and the Signatures that way. I then tried the installation again and it
installed correctly..

So download the utility if you don't have it..

Get the utility from Microsoft.

That didn't work for me, it was already set to that registry path setting.

Gonna try a reboot :O

Check that you are able to update Office after using that tool. There is
currently a Microsoft Security advisory about an unpatched vulnerability in
many versions of Microsoft Word. There will be a patch to fix this at some
nearby future date, and you don't want to miss it by accident.
