Install error log

When I tried to re-install Windows XP Pro, I got some error messages at the
end regarding some ADO dll's etc. Where can I find this error log so I can
find out exactly what the error messages are?

Also, why did it go through the entire install again instead of giving me an
option to simply "repair" my install? Thanks.

Check the setupapi.log file, it might have what you're looking for at the
bottom.
