Install Automatic Updates

Hello to all,

I have this situation: A laptop with WINXP SP2 with automatic updates
enabled every time it finds a update for windows it prompts me to download
available updates which i do, it downloads ok and fine, the problem is when
i click to express or custom install these updates, it starts "installing"
and after a little while the error displays it can not install these
updates. Automatic updates and Windows Installer services are running and
automatic. Tried disabling Outpost Firewall just in case it was avoiding
updates to install but to no avail.

Is there something im missing here?? why WinXP downloads all updates but
can't install them?? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, after i send this thread i just realized someone else have this same
issue in this newsgroup in another thread, i will try what's suggested
there, i will post back with results or questions if i have after i try
what's suggested in that thread. Sorry to over-post.
