Install as service?

Would it be possible to modify the Giant/MS AS to run as a
service? This would allow better resident protection I
believe, as well as allowing me to choose to only run
resident protection under specific hardware profiles.

It would help within enterprise environments where Administrators can have
logged off machines scanned during after hours.
