How do you install a service via the command prompt? I
need my backup software to run as a service, not an
application. Thanks.

First question - what backup software? I don't know of any that doesn't
allow for scheduled backups while nobody's logged in -

Anyway, there's a resource kit called srvrany.exe that will allow you to run
an application as a service, but I think it might be useful to know what
software you're using, first, to see if there's a better way.
