Insidious Icons that Keep Reappearing

I have several icons that keep reappearing on my desktop,
start menu and quick launch toolbar. They are all URLs
with icons that are stored in the winnt directory. I
delete these shortcuts and the icon files, but ever
wednesday they show back up. I have tried to find them
with AdAware and SpyBot, but no luck. Any ideas???
