Inserting section (or any) break after endnotes

M

Michael

Working with XP, I have a document with an introduction
that concludes with endnotes. Though I've been able to
paste other material in below the endnotes, I have not
been able to put in any breaks -- therefore cannot
properly organize the document. Incidentally, converting
the notes to footnotes doesn't help. I'd appreciate any
suggestions that could be offered. Thanks.

If you tell Word to put your endnotes at the end of the document, Word
interprets this very literally, and you cannot put anything after them. What
you have to do is instead tell Word to put the endnotes at the end of the
section. If you have only one section, then it will put them there (after
you've inserted your section break). If, as is more likely, you have several
sections, then you have to go to the Layout tab of Page Setup and check the
box for "Suppress endnotes" in each section before the one at the end of
which you want them to appear.
