Inserting Royal-Free Music to play throughout the presentation

I am using PowerPoint 2002 and need to add Royal-free music to the
presentation. I can only get it to play on the slide where I insert the
sound. It needs to play throughout the entire presentation.

This are the steps I follow to add a music track from my file:
Go to Insert_ then proceed to Movies and Sound_ select sound from
file(whatever name your music file is saved>on the first slide appear a
speaker icon right click it and click on_ custom animation the name of your
file appears on the right arrow click and go to_ Effect Options on the the
Effect go to Stop Playing and select After: ____Slides, put the number of
slides your presentation has. You can go to Sound Settings and Selct on
Display Options / Hide Sound icon during slide show and will ide the speaker
icon throughout the presentation. Hope I answer your question.
