Inserting PPTX Files Into a Power Point 2003 presentation

My home computer has Power Point 2003 installed, which I use to prepare a
weekly presentation for Sunday morning church service. I have, on occasion,
been asked to insert PPTX slides that another member prepares with his Power
Point 2007, into the rest of the presentation that was prepared by me. The
June 15 presentation includes 59 PPT slides and 6 PPTX slides.

I would like to 1) copy the six PPTX slides onto the computer where all
other Power Point files are saved and 2) insert those (6) PPTX slides into
the presentation that consists of 59 PPT slides. But I have been unable to
do it that way. If the 59 PPT slides are loaded, the PPTX file that contains
the other six slides is not visible to my Power Point 2003 program.

I have to "drag the horse around the corner" by loading the file with the 6
PPTX slides in it and insert the other file, containing the 59 PPT slides
into the presentation. Then, of course, the slides are not in the intended
order and they have to be rearranged.

QUESTION -- Is there a way to accomplish what I am trying to do without
having to "drag the horse around the corner?" The first time I tried to use
PPTX files with my 2003 program I was given the opportunity to download a
Microsoft program which was supposed to enable my 2003 program to read PPTX
files. But it reads PPTX files sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.

I tried to rename files but that did not work.

THANK YOU

The easiest way is to have the other member save his presentation as a 97-2003 presentation, then you should have no problems. Along with installing the compatibility package which it looks like you have done.
