Inserting comments on emails for specific follow-up

Sometimes just flagging an email is not sufficient. It would be nice if one
can attach a little note or comment for specific follow-up directions,
similar to a note in MS-Projcet or a comment in MS-Excel

Don't know what version you have but in 2003 you can select Insert>Comment
or if you create a note you can forward that as an attachment to an email.
