by coincident happened that I opened the OneNote disscussion first and placed
my question there
http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...spx?dg=microsoft.public.onenote&lang=en&cr=US
I am looking for best practice to attach or link my note to an Outlook
email, something similar than in Excell, add /edit note to an "item"
Exchanging emails could get a pretty messy, especialy when the "other side"
not replying but opens a new thread. I started recently grouping in to
follow-up folders, but than comes a phone call with a very important details
what I would like to record FMI, associate to an email, incomming or outgoing?
when I go back (timetravel) to some important conversation, have access to
my notes token at that time.
in the beginning I forward or reply to myself the email plus my comments,
but the pile is just getting bigger.
what is a best practice, suggestions

there really is no best practice. May people use journaling for this. Rather
than doing the forward bit, you can open a message and go to edit, edit
message and take notes in the message body. you can use the For follow up
field to make short notes. Finally, there is an addin called OutNote that
works sorta like the comment feature in Excel. Oh, and if you use Outlook
2007, you can use word's comments.
