Inserting an email signature was so much easier in versions prior.

Alternating between e-mail signatures for internal and external e-mail was so
simple in Outlook 98. Just go to "Insert" and then choose from the signature
you wanted to place in the e-mail. Now it involves clicking on "Tools", then
"Options", then "E-mail Options", then select the signature, copy the
signature, and FINALLY paste it into the e-mail.

Thanks for listening.
Tim.

YOu're doing it the hard way.

WordMail does not include an Insert | Signature command like the regular
Outlook editor. If you want to be able to insert a signature into a WordMail
message manually, you can create an AutoText entry for each signature. You
can then insert them with the Insert | AutoText command.

Or, create multiple signatures the normal way (Tools | Options | Mail
Format) and make one the default. If you want to use a different signature
for the current message, right-click the signature that Outlook inserted
automatically. From the pop-up menu, select either the name of the signature
you want to use or E-mail Signature to create a new one. I personally prefer
this technique. This is also the technique you need to use if you want
Outlook 2003 to automatically change your signature when you switch accounts
on an unsent message.

No, it doesn't. If you use the Outlook Editor, all it takes is clicking the
Signatures button on the Standard toolbar. If you're using Word, all it
takes in Insert>AutoText>Signature.

But that requires me adding my signatute to that program. The method to do
this feature is antiquated and it would easier if there was a button on the
toolbar, like in non-Word edited email messages. To either copy and paste,
as the help suggests or to add to auto-text requires us making more changes
to what should already be available in signatures.

I have 5 signatures I need to use @ work.. I don't feel either option is
functional for my needs.

That works great when my signature is there.
Let's say I have an email from someone else that I delete out all
information, except the text *I* want to send. This is normally where I'd
drop in my sig by using the signature button. Even if I go to Auto-Text and
put in a signature, I can't use the right click method.

So, this Word as an editor is great, except they need to configure it so we
can add the signature button to a toolbar for ALL forseeable needs, such as
my odd one.
