Inserting a CD causes restart

When I insert a CD the machine reboots (or blue screens depending on how I
set it).
Windows XP Pro 2002 SP2
Dell Latitude D600
Samsung CDRW/DVD SN-324B drive

No Roxio burning software (NO burning software-Work PC,never burned a disk)

When the machine reboots I can use the disk and eject and reinsert it. If I
insert a different CD it reboots.

This happens on music, mixed data, application, picture(.jpg) disks.

Thanks, I will continue to see if Dell can offer any help.

The kicker is, 2 other desktops that I support are having the same problem
so it isn't specific to this particular drive.
