Inserted as hyperlink but hyperlink is missing when received

I know that to be able to use the function "insert as hyperlink" the "compose
in message format" must be set to RICH TEXT. That's fine and when this
function is used the hyperlink is entered as expected. However, whenever the
recipient receeives the email, the hyperlink is missing and just shows as
plain text. This even apples if you sent the email to yourself.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Don't use Rich Text; there is no need to and as you've noticed; the mail
server will either convert it to HTML or in your case Plain Text.

Use Insert-> Hyperlink instead
If you are using Outlook 2003 or previous, setting your mail editor to Word
provides you with an interface where you can browse to the file.
