inoperable left mouse click

My dell latitude x300 works alright for a short while, but then
all of sudden the left mouse click stops working. The only method
I've found to fix this is to press the on/off switch to go to hibernate.
Then, I press the switch again and to resume w/o any problem.
Could someone inform me if the problem can be fixed w/ an
easier method.

this is an issue for
the dell people.

it might be a hardware
problem or simply
a driver problem,
in which case you
might try to reinstall
the drivers from dell.

in the interim, you
can also use a usb
mouse as a work around.
