Evening all,

Just recently started to experience a problem with my computer.A problem which unfortunatly is erratic.Meaning that the system works ok for a few hours/days and then simply wont switch on.

The fans on the motherboard work,the red led on the board that tells me the ram is working is off.the keyboard gives its customer blip and thats that.

Try'd all the connections etc and they're all fine.even swapped ddr and it made no difference.I'm assuming its the motherboard.Some have suggested the power suppy but I would have thought that once the power suppy goes it goes.

Any thoughts or like problems ?

Deffo sounds like a power supply fault to me.

Have you had a similar problem ?

I'm using an older computer for now and unfortunatly the power supply cable is the older fitting so I cant test the theory.

I suppose I'll end up buying a new tower and taking it from there.
