Initial Screen View in Contacts

In Outlook 2003, when you click on "Contacts" from the pane on the left, a
previous installation would automatically highlight the first contact,
allowing you to easily sort through your contacts by typing in the first
letter of the contact's last name.

In a new installation, fully patched, you must first click on the Contacts
on the upper part of the left pane, and then click on the name. There is
only one contacts folder in both installations of Outlook 2003.

This is usually the result of having Outlook Today as your startup folder.

Brian, I never would have guessed that, and don't understand it, but I'll
take it, as it worked. Thanks for the speedy and right answer..those two
concepts are usually not found together.

Cheers.
