I would like to uninstall XP and reinstall it. However,
I cannot find it in my install/uninstall in control
panel. When I search for it I am told to see uninstall
XOX and cannot find it either. How can I uninstall
Windows XP without using control panel.
Thanks for your help.

You can't ask an OS to uninstall itself. If what you want is a clean
install, then go here and follow instruction.

If you want to repair the XP installation, then go here and follow
instructions.

Are you sure that you need to uninstall and reinstall XP to fix whatever
your problem is?

Just boot from the Windows XP CD and follow the prompts for a
clean installation. It will do the reformat for you.

You can find detailed instructions here:

You can't uninstall XP. What are you trying to do? You have options other
than reinstalling if you are having problems. Repost with your specific
problem and someone will help.

You do it as part of a reinstall of the system after booting the XP CD
direct. Enter Setup, and after the license agreement take New Install.
When it asks you to confirm where, hit ESC; select and delete the
current partition and make a new RAW one to be formatted at the next
stage

The important point is the delete. Without that it will just go ahead
and make a new install over the top of the old one but lose all
associations of installed software

Note that delete means it - you will delete all installed programs and
data. For that reason it is usually better to do a repair installation
instead of New Install, which will rebuild the OS without losing those
other things. But you should backup critical data first anyway - just
in case.
