Did the author have a box of shriek marks approaching their use-by date,
Ron?

Hi Jon,

I am not sure I understand? Shriek marks? Let me know what you are needing
and I will be glad to review.

Often known as exclamation marks. They have a very specific purpose in
prose, as do question marks, but are often scattered indiscriminately
through text by those with poor writing skills. There's one at the end of
every line I quoted and all of them are not only extraneous but also make
the text look like it was written by an over-excitable 10 year old.

A very amateur image for a company of Eastman Kodak's calibre to be
presenting, don't you think?
Let me know what you are needing and I will be glad to review.

Well, global peace and international tolerance wouldn't go amiss. :)

Greetings Jon,

Thanks Jon, I understand. Never heard of shriek marks. I will be aware in
the future. The excerpt that I shared came from a quick set of data so
those with an interest would be aware. It was a note from an associate.
The same content, in better punctuation should be on the web shortly. I
appreciate your sharing of good writing protocols.

Talk to you soon,
