Access Infopath & access 2007

Hi I am trying to create an infopath form via my db from access and I am able to do it. However, the date field in the infopath form that originates from access db defaults to date and time. I am unable to change this for some reasons. It shows the date as 04.04.2012 00.00.00. Thus it displays the time besides the date. I want to get rid of those 00s from the infopath form. Any way in which this could be done?
