Infected file

Hi,
My Anti Virus says that C:\WINNT\system32\winhlpp32.exe is
infected with W32.HLLW.Gaobot.gen
An automated response from Symantec says delete it and
reinstall it if necessary. Is it necessary? Where can i
get a non-infected version from?
Many thanks,
Nic

Hi

Run the cleaner on it first and try to repair it before you try replacing it
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FxGaobot.ex

When running the tool, if you see a message that the tool was not able to remove one or more files, run the tool in Safe mode. Shut down the computer, turn off the power, and wait 30 seconds. Restart the computer in Safe mode and run the tool again

Hope this helps
