infected files

Norton anti-virus identified 2 files as infected, but not
repairable (explore.exe and winhlpp32.exe). After
quarantine, I was advised to delete them. How or where
do I find these files to reinstall them?

They're protected files so should be automatically replaced by Windows
File Protection.

If what you wrote is exactly what it says, those are NOT needed files, those
are the virus-files themselves. The real names are explorer.exe and
winhlp32.exe

Which explains why WFP didn't replace them; I'd just assumed typos by
the OP :-(

Not typos. NAV did a good job quarantining the virus,
just wish they had saved me the time looking into what to
do with them. Thanks.
