Hello, I did some update and I am back with the Windows search Indexing. I
am trying to remove it but I an not using the control panel --> Indexing
option. How can I get rid of it?
Thank you

How about in windows explorer, right clicking on the drive to get to
Properties, and then unchecking the indexing option there. (Not sure if
that is the same thing as your windows search indexing however).

Hell Rey,
I stop the service and disabled it but I still have the same "Windows
search" window where I am still forced to click on Classic Companion to do a
proper search.
Thanks

Its the Windows Search?
You should have it in the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, Windows
Search Version 4. Tick the show updates at the top.

Yes, Windows (Desktop) Search 4 is offered by Windows Update (as a High
Priority update, for god-knows-what reason).

You can uninstall it via Add/Remove Programs, if you wish.
