Index - Page Number links not working

Hi

I just generated index using Word 2000, however the links on the against the
respective index entry are not working.

Please let me know how to fix this.

Word does not generate hyperlinks in Indexes (would that it did).

If you mean links in a table of contents, have you tried using Ctrl-Click?
