Index in a locked form dot.

When I create a hyperlink index in a locked form dot. save it and go back into it later the page numbers change, yet if it saved in a doc. the page numbers don't change, how can I overcome this problem with.

change, how can I overcome this problem with.Most likely, Word is forcing a full field update in the template.

If you select the INDEX field, then press Ctrl+F11 that should lock the field so that
it can't update. (Ctrl+Shift+F11 would unlock it)

What might make more sense would be to unlink the field (turn the index into static
text) before you start creating the hyperlinks. Select, then ctrl+Shift+F9
