Indeo codec???

Coming across MANY AVI's and movie files that apparently
require an Indeo Codec by Ligos. Apparently it has been
discontinued on newer versions of XP and Ligos is charging
$14.95 to D/L the codec from their site!

Is there a way around this? Seems like I really NEED this
codec. I never needed it in Win98 and these same vid files
played fine on that machine.

Any Ideas?
