indented bullet between words

I am trying to left justify a heading, then tab, then insert an indented
bullet all on the same line. But when I tab then insert the bullet, the
bullet goes in front of the heading and indents everything, including the
heading. How do I get Word (MS Office 2000) to keep the heading on the left
margin and then indent the bullet on the same line in between two words
without putting the bullet in front of the heading and moving everything to
the right?

Two ideas you might try: use an unruled table, or insert the bullet by using
Insert | Symbol and picking up a bullet from there. Hope this helps.
