Incorrect unread item count displayed for shared Inbox

I have a user with a strange problem. They have a shared mailbox in their
folder list which will only show unread item count in brackets when the
number of unread items is >10 ! ! ! when the number is 11 they will see 1 in
brackets and when the unread item count is 12 they see 2 etc etc etc. Other
users who share the mailbox do not have the same problem so it must be an
Outlook problem rather than a Exhange DB problem

If anyone could give me any ideas at all I would be very grateful

Thx

No, this is a permissions issue. For the shared mailbox you'll need to set
the permission to allow to view items marked as private.

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

Thanks for reply - are you sure this is a permissions issue. What makes me
doubt this is a permissions issue is that if the user opens the inbox they
can see all of the unread items but the folder list view does not show
unread item count next to the shared inbox until the count goes over 10. The
items are not marked as private.

?

Cheers
