incorrect passwrod on auto logon

I installed XP Pro and selected automatic login with a
particular username. Now the autologon of that username
has an incorrect password stored and produces an error on
every startup. I have tried changing the password for
that user in the users control paneland that does not fix
it. I do not know the original password. How do I
disable automatic logon?

You can change (or disable) the auto-logon account by launching TweakUI and
checking under Logon \ Autologon.)
