Has anyone have anymore information on this issue. This issue as been buggin
me for a while now and have not found a good resolution to get the next media
inserted to be recognized with out restarting the computer or using a
different drive. I have 2 different drives installed. All exhibit the same
issue. 1st media is recongnized then remove and insert something new and it
dislayes the previous media info. I have SP2 installed with all updates. Any
other work around for this? I've looked at the other posts and nothing seems
to be substancial. Please let me know. Thank you. I notice that this happens
in Windows 2000 as well with SP4.

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Expand to DVD/CD-ROM Drives
3. Select your CD drive e.g. Creative CD4020E ST980828
4. Right-click and choose Uninstall.
5. When uninstall complete. Click Action menu and choose "Scan for hardware
changes". Windows will automatically re-install your CD drivers without
asking you for any drivers. Make a restart if you wish then use different
media. See if this method works.

Best of luck and let us know if this information helps you.
