Inconsistant number of emails - Contact ISP or Email Admin

I have a corporate attorney who has his email set up this way:

1). Directly to AOL account
2). Directly to Outlook, Laptop 1
3). Directly to Outlook, Laptop 2
4). Redirected off Laptop 1 to Blackberry

He leaves Laptop 1 up and running in office and emails are forwareded to his
blackberry. When he is out of town, he connect to Outlook through Laptop 2.

When this happens, it shuts down his email to 2, 3, and 4 with an error
message of inconsistant number of emails.

I have had 2 techs plus email server people in to look at this problem. Is
there any way to run his email to all 4 places without it shutting down.

Well, the AOL account won't have anything to do with the other three. What
type(s) of accounts are being used and what version(s) of Outlook?

They are pop3 email server accounts, 1 laptop is on Office XP and 1
laptop is on Office 2003. The redirector for the Blackberry phone is
off the Office 2003 laptop.

I'm not sure I really understand the setup. Can you describe in specific
detail exactly what happens on what system and when and whether or not he
has his account(s) set up to leave messages on the server?
