incoming mail has changed format

Whenever I received incoming mail such as a newsletter it was in a format
that had colored bars, pictures, etc., now it comes in with text only and
pictures are missing. Is there anyway to fix this?

I'm having a very similar problem. some of my html formatted mail is coming
to me and being read as plain text, stripping all attachments and adding
unreadable text. I'm really hoping someone can help with this problem.

How do you know it's not a problem on the sender's end of things?

I've had the same version of Outlook running on two pc's at the same time to
check my mail and have it come through fine on my old pc and on my new one it
gets all screwed up. The author doesn't do anything different than he used
to. My new pc is Vista so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.
I'm not sure about crobbins OS. All the settings on both instances of
Outlook are identical as I've gone through both many times to try and figure
this mystery out.
