incoming mail delivery error

I can e-mail out but as soon as I have an incoming e-mail theres an error.
 
error connecting to internet server then it shuts the program down

What version of Outlook do you have? When Outlook "shuts down", do you
mean it just quits, or does it give an error message and ask if you want to
send an error report?
