I have a few users who can not open email messages in the inbox only. They
can open any email within any other folders (including folders within the
Inbox) but every time they click on the inbox itself the outlook stop
responding.

We are running Exchange 2003 on a Server 2003.

thank you for your help,

FYI: I did get one user to open her inbox after I updated the Microsoft
software but once she scroll down a few days and tried to open a new message
the hour glass stay and the software stop responding.

If you are running in Cached Exchange Mode locate the ost-file and rename it
to .old.
