Inbox repair tool and contacts upload questions

P

Peter A

Greetings to all. Help with these two questions would be MOST appreciated!!!

1. I have used the inbox repair tool to scan my ost file. the scan finds
errors and I instruct to repair. Repairs are successful according to pop up
window. Behavior of outlook doesn't change. rescan of ost file indicates
errors - and the cycle repeats. The error is with my calendar but the repair
won't fix it. Outlook keeps creating back up calendar folders, numbered
sequentially, with nothing in them. All scans of my pst files indicate no
errors. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

2. Outlook continually tries to upload changes in my contacts folder. it
counts off all the way up to 82, skips to 113 and stops the update way short
of the total amount. Then the cycle begins again. Server status indicates an
error in contacts. All my contacts in my folder seem to be okay. Inbox repair
tool scan shows no errors.

any suggested fixes to the above would be most appreciated. Thanks in
advance for reading my post.

There is a separate SCANOST program. Don't use SCANPST (the Inbox Repair
Tool). Better yet, just delete it with Outlook closed and let Outlook
rebuild it from scratch.

Never seen this.

Brian, thank you for your time in replying to my issue. Please clarify. Do
you suggest that I delete the ost file and that outlook will rebuild it?

I thought that's what I said.
