Inbox folders missing

I have had my Vista Dell computer since July 2007. However when I went to
pull up my Vista windows mail a few days ago I had 30 messsages with 19
unread, but under the subject it stated ' no items found.' I contacted my
service provider, charter.net and after working with them for well over an
hour they said it was the Dell e-mail program that was interfering with the
charter inbox and that I should call Dell. This I did immediately and
after another couple of hours on the phone with a very nice polite young man
my inbox and messages were restored and I was happy! However the next
morning when I logged in the INBOX FOLDERS WERE MISSING (I save some
necessary e-mails there.) I can send and receive now but WHERE ARE MY
FOLDERS?) Also, every time I click on an e-mail now a new folder 1, folder
2 (all blank) comes up under "recovered messsages". I am afraid to delete
all these (over a page long now) and would just like my Inbox, and FOLDERS
restored to the original state. Dell told me to call Microsoft support for
windows mail who guided me to this site. Another question that has bothered
me for awhile. why do some of the junk e-mails come to my regular inbox and
some of my regular e-mails go to the junk mail box???

This type of problem is usually caused by running an incompatible
antivirus program. Windows Mail is not compatible with most
McAfee, Norton and Trend Micro security programs. Those
programs tend to corrupt Windows Mail over time, and will need
to be uninstalled, NOT just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, try Windows
Mail again. If no improvement, delete your mail account, restart
Windows Mail, then recreate that account.

At your convenience, download and install a more compatible
antivirus like:
AVG free edition: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom
install, and then deselect the email scanning option.

Did you click the triangle in front of Local Folders?
