Inactive icons in system tray

Windows XP system tray icons. Even with the option
selected in the taksbar properties my inactive icons do
not hide. Is there a time before they should hide or
another setting I can change. Has anybody else had this
problem. (this setting has worked before on my pc)

Hi, Duncs.

If you want the icons to hide right away, when you go to 'Customize' and
highlight the icon, don't select "Hide when inactive", select "Always hide".
That way the disappear right off...

Hope this helps,

Ed

Thank you Kelly and Edward,

They have started hiding again after a short period of
time idle.

Hi,

It depends on your actions before this behavior that concern the issue. But
generally yes, the process does take time to adjust.
