in word, how can I insert a multi-sheet visio document

Hi,

I have a multi-sheet visio file that I would like to insert (each page) in a
worf
document. In word, using Insert then object, I can choose to insert my
vision document. However, this works for the first page. I know that I can
always copy the second sheet on my visio file, then paste it in my word
document.
However, I like the idea of link like that if my vision doc is changing,
then I can
update the link in word.
So how to link the second, third... sheets of the visio file in my word
document.

Thanks and regards

Hi Jean Simon,

Word doesn't directly support multipage objects.
If you have named sheets(pages) in your Visio 2003
document you can use Edit=>Copy Drawing on each page
in the Visio file and then in Word use Edit=>Paste Special
and select the Enhanced Metafile choice and 'paste as link'.

To test, change the fill color, for example on a shape on
each linked page.

Another method is to export the pages from Visio as individual
graphic files and to then use Insert=>Picture=>Link to put
the graphics into Word. When you want to update the graphics
export them to the same names again from Visio.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the 2 methods. I tried the first one, and it worked fine and I
can see the
drawing on the viso file as a link in word.

Thanks and regards

I am also interested in pasting pages from Visio to Word and find that your
first solution works great. I notice that whenever I open the file, it offers
to update the document with data from the Visio file, which is good for me.
But when I distribute the Word Document without the Visio file for review, is
there a way to avoid the offer to update the document to readers of the Word
doc that don't even know about the links but still allow them to see the
Visio drawings? If not, is there a way to remove the links and then use Save
As to create a link-less copy that still has the drawings?

I am using Word 2003 with Visio 2000 i have a word document with individual
sheets from a visio file linked on the Word.

When i use print preview it looks just great but, when i print the word file
the visio drawing just gets huge or blank.

How could i fix this?

Thanks
