I was using word yesterday and suddenly all the formatting began showing up
in the body of my document. ie.. the paragraph symbol, hypens between words,
etc..How do I turn this off?

Shift Control 8 will toggle the non printing characters on and off.

Actually, the correct command is Ctrl+*. Although this is Ctrl+Shift+8 on
U.S. keyboards, it is not on some international keyboards, but the Ctrl+*
command works no matter what keys you have to press to get it. And of course
the Show/Hide ¶ button works as well.
